has been creating ink and pencil portraits on commission for 30 years.
It was about time, we decided. After 14 years of personalizing clients'
life events, we thought we should introduce our co-owner and president's true talent. Kate Meyer, who created most of the
unique designs you see on our website, has been an artist since she was old enough to walk. Kate majored in Art and Mass
Communications and put herself through college by drawing portraits.

On this page you can see examples of her recent work. We elected to post images of two widely recognizable
persons -- Kevin Costner and Johnny Depp -- so you can see Kate's knack at capturing the subject's likeness.
Digital watercolor is the most distinctive technique that Kate uses.
Combining modern digital editing and traditional artistry, it offers the impressionistic subtleties of watercolor. Black-and-white
originals can be rendered in a distinctive monochrome style, which has something of the dramatic simplicity of a pen-and-ink drawing.

Kate's portraits are produced on heavy, archival quality watercolor paper and delivered ready for matting
and framing.
Pencil portraits are a traditional technique that the great masters have
used for portraits since the Renaissance. Pencil portraits have fine details and a high standard of realism. Your finished artwork
will be on non-fading, high quality heavy-weight art paper.
Either style of portrait makes a wonderful gift in honor of a birthday, a retirement or an anniversary.
